Getting around by bike

Useful info and contacts

The town has produced a cycle guide enabling users to ride safe and be aware of the risks and dangers of the road for two-wheelers.

UDINebike is the public bicycle service (bike sharing) for those moving around the town. Rental bikes are located at strategic points of the town and are easily combined with the use of cars left in the car parks, or by those arriving by bus or by train.

Look on the map where the bike parks are and test their availability in real-time.
How does the UdineBike work? You just have to sign up and pick up the electronic card that allows you to collect and return the bike at any of the available stations.

The service is time-based, with the first half hour being free.

Time is measured automatically by the system, from the moment the bike is picked up to the time it is deposited in the relevant bike park.

The time it takes to move between any two UdineBike stations are, as a rule, less than half an hour. So by only using the bike for the actual time needed, the service is actually free.

To subscribe, you need to be of age and present a copy of your identity document; You will be required to leave a deposit of €10 for the release of the electronic card and €10 for the initial charge.
You can enrol to use the service at the "Magrini" car park and at the Sosta e Mobilità y S.p.A. headquarters in Via Caneva.
